Frequently asked questions
Which nozzle should I choose for weeding?
A flat jet nozzle. The fan nozzle sprays a clean strip, up to 80 cm wide for the Hozelock yellow fan nozzle; the deflector nozzle covers a wider area, up to 130 cm for the Hozelock yellow deflector nozzle. Used with a spray shield, it limits drift onto nearby plants.
What does 15/10 mean on a swirl nozzle?
It is the diameter of the orifice in tenths of a millimetre: 15/10 means 1.5 mm. At the same pressure, the larger the orifice, the higher the flow. The Berthoud swirl nozzle kit offers four sizes, from 10 to 18/10.
Does a Hozelock nozzle fit a Berthoud sprayer?
The Hozelock Innovation multi-purpose nozzle is compatible with all Hozelock and Berthoud sprayers. For other nozzles, the product page states the lance or tube concerned: the Berthoud swirl nozzle kit, for example, is designed for straight composite tubes.
