The tank has a total capacity of 8.5 litres and a usable capacity of 6 litres. The number in the name refers to the total volume of the tank, not to the amount of spray mixture you can prepare. For your dilution calculations, use 6 litres: this is the volume of liquid you actually pour in before pressurising, up to 3 bar.
The tank opening is 80 mm in diameter and separate from the pump: filling does not go through the pump body, which is fixed and off-centre. You pour the water and product directly into the tank, and you can reach inside for rinsing. This opening is therefore used both for filling the 6 usable litres and for cleaning after treatment.
