Frequently asked questions

Which type of sprayer should I choose?

It depends on the area to treat: a 0.5 to 1 litre trigger sprayer for houseplants and spot treatments, a small 1.25 to 2 litre sprayer for a balcony or greenhouse, a 5 to 14 litre model for the vegetable garden and orchard, and a 12 to 18 litre knapsack sprayer for large areas. A battery sprayer removes the need to pump, and a syringe sprayer treats at height.

EPDM or Viton seals: which should I choose?

EPDM seals resist alkaline products, vinegar and diluted bleach. Viton seals resist aggressive solvent- and hydrocarbon-based products. Each sprayer's product page states its seals.

Do spare parts remain available?

Yes. Berthoud states 10 years of spare parts availability, Hozelock 5 years. The period is shown on each product page, and seals, nozzles and lances can be found in the spraying accessories.

Can I spray under leaves?

Yes with the 360° models, which spray in any position, even upside down.
